The largest coffee producing region in Ethiopia, Sidama (Sidamo), also produces one of the best coffee varieties in the world. Grown at an elevation of 1,500 – 2,000 meters above sea level, Sidamo coffee is designated Strictly High Grown. At these high altitudes the coffee beans are slow growing, therefore have ample time to absorb more nutrients and develop complex flavors.
